Recently installed an engine start button in the stang. The button is from an S2000. Install was quick, anyone with basic electrical/wiring knowledge can do this cool mod. Message for step by step tutorial and the cheapest place to buy the button online.

  • Is there away to bypass the need of a key.....Also i had a 06 4.0 and it would eat the 90' model v8s every time...i now own a 4.6 but still miss my 6r the gas millage was GReat....Nice push button if i can bypass the key than im def getting one..

  • @swatter32 Yes there is a way to bypass just have to wire it a little different google search it though its not hard to find, sry.

  • I hate faggots that hate on v6 stangs . I have one and I love it! It's my first car and I'm 16 and people that drive their moms car are the ones talking sh*t!! It's a mustang doesn't matter what it is!

  • @GOHardInDaPaint5418 Yes you can still go hard in the paint with a v6, they get more powerful, technologically advanced every year.

  • interior is so ugly

  • @jovianksc I agree cloth was not my first choice but couldn't afford factory leather. Aftermarket would have looked nice too.

  • quick question did you make the button out of just 2 wires? i have the same instruction sheet i downloaded it from AmericanMuscle. im trying to make mine with a blue illuminated button i got but wasnt sure if it needs an inline fuse i bought a few feet or wire from my local car audio shop. but that fuse thing is what has been stopping me from installing it to the green and white on my ignition wires wanna make sure first so i dont cause a short.

    thanks

  • @StripedStang08 Thanks bro.

  • @bigpapahades Yes having the key is definitely a good security measure. I wish i could say I still have this mustang but unfortunately I sold it in 2010. Thanks for the mustang love though!

  • i think requiring the key in the ignition is still a smart move from a security stand point. Even BMWs with push start require the key fob inserted before the push button will start the car. All upgrades are pointless if you think about it. Do you really need seat warmers in the car? Do you really NEED a V8 mustang. NO. But its nice to have. I think a push start is nice addition even if it needs the key. Its a conversation piece. If your a single guy, it impressive to the ladies. Good Job.

  • If you cut the green wire during instillation, you don't need the keys.
