  • okay quick question, so you use those white lines to guide you on where to place the tracks when you get to the top? Also, after you did your first row did you extend the next row all the way to the ear, ONE LAST QUESTION, my caop always comes to my mannequins eyes too, i always thought that meant my mannequin head was too small?

  • @missberhane10 Yes the 2nd row goes to the ear since the mannequin head is so small. Now if you are using the foam mannequin then yes it's a lot smaller than the one I'm using. What you have to do is periodically (after every 2-3 rows) try it on to make sure it's not fitting your head too snug. How did the one you made turn out? It took me 5 times to get it right. I mean I almost gave up.

  • @1BlkBarbie1 girl it never comes out right because the small ass mannequin head i have! (the foam one). like i just don't know what to do to work around it..i'm about to start a new one following your video using lines but i'm skeptical cus it's my first time using a dome cap and the mannequin head never works out =/

  • @missberhane10 Wait, so you never done it with the dome cap before? Honestly that's the only cap that seemed to work for me. And I notice if I didn't take it off the mannequin periodically it would be to small. When I do it without the lines the tracks lay weird and they all fall to the front like I'm doing a bang instead of falling down to the side.

  • @1BlkBarbie1 nope i've always used a net. This will be my first time with a dome so I hope it works out. Plus i notice in everyone's video that they're using a professional mannequin head instead of the white styrofoam like i am so i never knew how to make it work, I'm going to use your method though and hopefully it comes out right. I want a side part(well off center) so it should be the same technique right?

  • @missberhane10 That's why. The net never works. It always shrink. The dome should work out good though. I think the foam mannequin will work with the dome cap as well. I've seen people do it that way. Yes it should came out the same way with the side part. Make sure u let me know how it turns out to and if I can help in any way.

  • Honestly, do you prefer sew in or the u-part?

  • I really wish i watched your tutorial before i made my wig. Your guidelines on how to place the tracks would have saved me so much time. I didn't really place mine well, so I had to improvise at the front. and unfortunately I left too big of a gap at the "u" requiring more leave-out. But, for my second wig, I'll definitely be sewing along with your method. I guess sometimes it's necessary to make a mistake to truly learn.

  • @1BlkBarbie1 girl then stay TUNED cus i'm starting as soon as my last bundle dries (i sealed the wefts). So like within 20 minutes lol

  • @GfyEmyLouLou Thanks luv, she is sooo dramatic lol but I love her. I kept telling her to sit down the entire time but she was so intrested in what I was doing she couldn't stay still lol.
