Indeed:
I often ask as to whether those that advocate "freedom" mean "absolute" freedom or "conditional" freedom; & rarely get a reply :-)

Not so much IF; but how much support??
I ask since judging from the contributors from the US that post here; it would be something like 100 to 1 [in favour of said extreme far right].
& whilst this is clearly NOT the case, I do wonder as to how much support the extreme far right [as opposed to the more moderate centre right] has?? & what effect this has on said more moderate centre right??

I like to listen to & form ideas, not an ideology :-)
I think when something is construed as "free" it is believed that it shouldnt be argued with. A free market is one of the things that many here believe is something that shouldnt be touched. I love freedom as well, but something isnt free when others are harmed. A market that is not regulated at least to a minimal extent leaves room for individuals to be harmed (ie: slavery and/or the destruction and abuse of lands and wildlife).

Does the ideological far-right [i.e. Ayn Rand/libertopian/T-party] have much popular support & if so is that dragging the GOP further to the right??

This post of yours [which clearly is NOT spam] unfortunately got spammed-out by some anti-free-speech/anti-democracy type[s] who infect this thread [& others] like a disease they are!!
THAT SAID: I quite agree with U & your NON-ideological NON-extremist perspective.
Whilst given that most of the contributors to this thread from the US are of the extreme right-[Ayn Rand/libertopian]-wing; I must say how heartening it is to hear less extreme centre-left views expressed from the US.
