Is this one of those sets that looks kinda like a triangle if you are looking down on it from above? The TV set that would fit into a corner perfectly? I've seen these in a couple movies recently.

"It no longer exists" - I've always loved that line.

Zenith was number 1. When you bought one they would go at least 10 + years with no repairs. And like you said the color was more life like. I remember EJ Korvette's when I used to live in Rockland Counthy NY in the 1960' and 70s.

@lpvcrcd Oops. I spelled Curtis Mathes wrong in my previous reply. Anyway, there are some interesting old commercials of theirs on YouTube. Apparently their TVs had a small part that would enable one to see the same color picture that could be seen in the control rooms of the TV stations.

@lpvcrcd I think everyone would pretty much agree that Zenith made a good television. Have you ever heard of Curtis Mathis sets, and if so, what do you think of those? They were also top of the line TVs, which cost more than others.

@simplicityford Our 80's System 3's power supply gave up just the other day... We can't find a replacement part for it either, im certainly going to miss it.
Zenith in its heyday [mid- late 60's 70's maybe even early 80s] was the Cadillac of color TVs. I remember walking into EJ Korvette's.. remember that store chain? with their great music department] going into tv sales room and seeing all the large consoles from Zenith RCA Admiral etc.. Zenith had the truest colors most advanced features etc .Yes they were often $200 more than the rest ,and yes, expensive at the time But their sets and quality of engineering were worth it Anybody Agree?
