The falling cat did that classic cowboy western technique of looking over the sholder of the attacking cat as a diversionary tactic in its attempt to get away when the attack cat checks out what the victim cat is supposedly looking at.

You do get this quite often as a result of letting cats watch television or leaving the remote control out where during the day when the house is empty they pass the time watching the afternoon movie on television.
