My grandpa has been using this remote for ten months now and it's working great.
Tip: If your cable box or TV has a favorite channel list, you can program the mute button on the Flipper remote (using the learn feature) to act as the favorite button.
When mute is pressed the favorite channels are cycled. Making it much easier for them to get to channels they love, while still having access to all other channels. More reliable than using the Flipper's favorite feature; only one command is sent.
A few of us chipped in to buy Nanna a new flat screen TV but she is having trouble with the remote. We frequently have to go over there to get the TV out of whichever menu she accidentally has gone into.
I'm glad this one can learn which guarantees that it will work with a brand new model flat screen.
@Phantoma3 I just received the Flipper today and I tried all the codes available for my grandpa's digital box, I did have to use the learning feature and it worked perfect.
Now that you have mentioned it has a learning ability, I'll be buying one for my Nanna.
I just checked the instruction manual pdf and it does indeed say it has a learning ability, but they should mention that on the main web page. It's a big plus because there are new flat panels out every 6 months and manufacturers can change remote codes for them without notice.

Thanks for your comments!
Flipper is now using Flash memory, so it will not loose the programming when batteries are removed.

@Phantoma3
Upon reading further into the pdf instruction manual, it says you have 5 minutes to get the new batteries in before the remote loses the settings.
That's good.

They should pay you a commission.

When the batteries go flat and you have to take them out, do you have to re-program the remote?

Nvm, I read that it has learning capability. Seems perfect, about to order one now. :)

Thank you so much.
Will this work for my grandpa's RCA digital converter box? Model no. STB7766C?
