  • why wouldn't you leave the door open or at least a light in his room. maybe he is scared of the dark. give him a hug and lay him down don't just walk away leave him in the dark screaming. damn.

Unless you stayed physically in the room and held him, he would scream like that. We tried many things- I tried comforting, I tried compromising, I tried scolding. Nothing, and I mean nothing, would calm him. He was pissed that momma wasn't there to hold him. Hugging him just made him cling and refuse to let go.

There was literally nothing I could do except wait it out. Eventually he'd quiet down.

  • Try actually putting him to sleep? (ie. read a story, hold him for a bit, etc..)

Ofcourse the kid is gonna freak if you close all the lights and close the door on him without acknowledging his sadness.

  • OMG...i remember that with ours. It wont last forever..promise.
