Title: 未来永劫仏恥斬
Artist/Circle: 六弦アリス (Rokugen Alice)
Album: 夢想演舞 妖之理 -Fairy tale for Cherry blossoms-
Original: 広有射怪鳥事 ~ Till When?(Hiroari Shoots a Strange Bird ~ Till When?)
Website: http://www.rokugen.net/

Here is a way to piss of a Sakuya fan.
Tell her/him that you can unlock Sakuya once you have completed the Lunatic mode with Youmu on "Ten Desires".

Youmu has always been one popular character of the Touhou series, and love has increased on the last few moments. Doujin musician "Myon" from "MyonMyon" is known for actually dressing up like Youmu while playing on live concerts, and last but not least she was included on the last Touhou game out of the blue. Apparently, Sakuya fans where crushed first by including Sanae on "Undefined Fantastic Object" and now by stealing her spot on "Ten Desires". This can be seen by the positive side, that ZUN is actually following his own wish rather than listening to the fans, as it was with the whole Cirno "spin-off". However, I don't particularly care about who is in or not on the games tho, as I'm not much into Touhou games. You could say I only play them to get a glimpse of the enviroment the music should create and then listening the music by it's own merit.

Somehow after finishing all the channel reconstruction, I have been slowly recovering the joy I used to have when sharing music. Perhaps it was the pressure and the lack of continuity that made took must of the joy of this, not difficult, but clearly time consuming task.
One of the things I did skip when it was released was the second effort of Rokugen Alice on the Touhou scene. This albums cover must of the tracks you find on the "Perfect Cherry Blossom" game, as hinted by the album name. Once again, describing Rokugen Alice music can be a difficult task, but allow me to describe this album as a more hard rock and less Gothic than the last one. However, this song you are listening is by far the most "heaviest" touhou arrange that Rokugen Alice has created. I still won't consider it "Heavy Metal", but that is just me, and besides we (at least not me) are on the task to judge wether this is X or Y. The only true value here, is if you like it or not.

One of the things I really enjoyed about the song, it's the slight change the vocalist does on the main melody when singing the chorus. Then, the melody carries one with it's own, and once again returns to the original melody. I give this thumb up, in the subject of mixing your own material with the song you are actually paying tribute to. However, I'm still unsure what kind of electronic devices does Rokugen Alice uses to record. The guitar in this song isn't particular my favorite, actually I have never been fond to the guitar (or I should quote "guitar") of this doujin circle. There are tons of parts where it is obviously a synthed guitar rather than a real one, but there are some parts I can make out if its a real guitar with the usual "gothic" (low frequencies up to heaven) setting or its just another synth guitar. Rokugen Alice has wonderful compositions, but the use of this guitar kinda lowers the quality of this pieces. Something is true though, Rokugen Alice has come to achieve it's own sound (wether you consider it good or bad), that will be recognisable for those who stick to this circle, and if Rokugen Alice has gained enough popularity to gather an audience and do a concert live, next to CROW'SCLAW, then I consider a good option to dig into your sound, rather than trying a new one, just like this album has proven.

Thanks for watching.

  • Don't you think this is more metal than rock?

  • @hoholollol12345

Isn't metal a particular case of rock?

  • Moomaria has worked on a guide for those interested on buying and importing doujin music to your country. Check the link on the bottom of the description to go there.

  • @ChaosAngel209 not really, rock and metal have distinct differences, most of the rock heard today is hard rock which verges on metal. This song sounds more like metal to me too.

  • @ChaosAngel209 no, the main diffrence bitween metal and rock is the usage of palm mutes in guitar and some of the drum techniques used. if the vocals are still 'heavy' like the guitar it would classify as hard rock (ex. Die Motherf*cker Die - Dope) But the diffrence can differentiate in a verry gray area if you look towards rise against since they tend to use punk rock subjects but do use the distortion and palm mutes but have a totally diffrent vibe making them a little more rock then metal.

  • @ChaosAngel209 nope, rock is different from metal

  • @ChaosAngel209 No, actually.

  • The picture is worth a 1000 words...

  • ZZZ... C80... Touhou 13...Zzz...

  • @ChoasAngel209

Thats not a way to piss of a Sakuya fan! It's a way to hurt one.... T.T but i also love Youmu so i can live with it this time!

The song is really nice. Upload more songs like this : D

  • @ChaosAngel209 Actually, Metal is a subgenre of Rock. While Rock strives to detach itself from the heritage of classical music, Metal actually strives towards it.

  • Holy shit I loved this one a hell of a lot more then I thought I would.

Keep up the sexy uploads Chaos.
