Host:Ingrid Schlueter
Guest:Ken Silva

Pastor Ken Silva is with Apprising Ministries.

How would you feel if your pastor tried to teach you breathing exercises specific to prayer? What if he told you that your deepest fear is that you are powerful beyond all measure, or that unrepentant homosexuals can still be Christians?

These are just a few of the teachings brought to light as Ingrid and Ken look into the philosophies that are shaping the Emergent Church movement, a movement that is just now having an impact upon conservative Christianity.

Popular Emergent leader, Pastor Rob Bell of Mars Hill Bible Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is the focal point, as recorded sound bites from Rob highlight the early portion of the program.

  • Also, that devil Rob Bell teaches universal salvation.

  • haha he is a blend of Rite and wrong.(double lol PUNS). yoga is wrong for the positions are dedications to pagan hindu Gods. But meditation on scripture is good. It is funny that some Evangelicals reject the early church fathers of christianity it is as if the founding fathers of christianity come 1500 years later when the desert fathers where in the 1st & 2nd century. He focusses alot on breathing with the only thing is to be still and think of Gods scripture, breathing is yoga. God bless

  • Yogis and Hindus are angry that western culture is bringing Christianity into yoga or yoga into Christianity. They specifically say the two cannot mix, that yoga cannot be sanitized and mixed with christianity. It's easy to find, do a bit of research on the Internet. If the real Hindi yogi's are against it and say it can't be mixed with Christianity, maybe Christians should listen to them at least. Most westerners have no clue what yoga really is. You cannot separate the excerise/pose from

  • @craigblack1234 thats a lie. Christ is God, he's the only way to escape eternal punishment of sin against a just and holy God. the only thing that people get apart from Jesus is eternal death.

  • ignorance at work. gotta love half educated people getting all riled up about things that they don't understand

  • LOL! This is VERY good news! Close-minded fundamentalist evangelicals are starting to wake up to the reality that there are MANY, MANY different and equally valid perspectives of spirituality/God. Close-mindedness passes as a virtue in fundamentalist circles, and the open-minded are persecuted. Ultimately this ancient, barbaric fundamentalism will be overrun by progressive, enlightened, free thought. Long live the revolution!

  • Christian history shows many changes: from Judaism to Chr. (1st century), from apocalyptic Chr. to structural Chr. (2nd cent.), from quasi-legal to institutional (3rd & 4th cent.), from stark liturgies to images and ceremonial (up to the 9th cent.), from presumed unity to division (the 2nd century until the present day). BTW, to most of Christianity, Silva' s dismissal of the Desert Fathers just earned him a trip down the slippy slide into the Lake of Fire.

  • All religion suck, I am the way, the truth and the life. I am EL ELYON the highest God hidden in human form. Google me, you tube and see if you don't find me.

  • Great video. God has already exposed Rob Bell and this false doctrine of demons. Any doctrine that attempts to take our attention away from THE TRUE GOD is heretical. Yoga is not biblical or of God. At least not the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. The bible says that there are 2 Gods. One is the god of this world, the devil. So folks have to start being discerning. This video speaks truth. Thank you Crosstalk America!

  • overly self-righteous...my prayers are not for rob bell, but you all...even if he is 100% wrong, where is the love at that the understandingly "right" christians should have in this situation to guide him to the truth...how is this broadcast loving our neighbor as ourselves...
