@maxma3 Not so fast. Machida does have a black belt in BJJ, that's true, but he has two submission victories. Only two. If BJJ were so superior, you'd think he'd, you know, use it. Styles don't fight, what matters is the fighter. Hell, even I can competently block a take down and I only train in Karate.

@sub7viet GSP started in Karate, but he trains heavily in a lot of other things now since he start in MMA, look at his fights, it's mainly wrestling and boxing. You are comparing the wrong things, GSP and Machida are in MMA, without knowing BJJ or some wrestling, their karate will be almost useless under MMA rules.
