@fastcats3 Obama, bought and paid for by the Globalist/Elite/Insiders and the Military Industrial Complex. He is a war monger just like Bush Cheney and all the other Insider creeps. None of them ever intend to end the wars. Obama's top three contributors in dollars: Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan and Chase. He played all the people who voted for him for fools. He supported Obama in 2008 and put out a tribute song to him. I would hope that he is as disappointed as so many of us are now. More troops in Afghanistan and now saying wont leave til 2024. Obama has spent his vacation with the heads of GE and American Express which shows us who he cares about...it aint us. @fastcats3 I've only heard a little bit of his early stuff. Like Red Beans and Rice and some other songs on pandora. I think the music is still very good. It's like a slice of raw honey enriched blue berry pie compared to the diarrohea of music that comes on the mainstream. That's why I listen to more independent artist. Spearhead is becoming more mainstream and I think that they're adapting well. I don't think franti is a sell out. I do wish that he would say his opinion about Obama.

@jhessgirl Yell Fire is better than All Rebel Rockers but neither have the same intense hard hitting message of his earlier work. The song that is played ad nauseum on the radio makes me puke.... and to hear his "music" being used to hock beer is quite disturbing. I knew Michael back in the day...Stay Human, Chocolate Superhighway, Home and his days with the Disposible Heros are the Michael I knew. He now opens for the likes of John Mayer and advertises for Corona. Not the same man.
