Absolutely. I think fundamentalism is the biggest problem within Christianity. I 100% believe in Jesus, that He is God's son and the Bible is His word. I just don't think we have to have a stick up our ass about it and I don't at all believe we should add to the Bible (ei: dancing is not a sin, so don't try and add to what God said and turn it into one).

jmp78; So then you don't take portions of the bible in the literal sense? That's very interesting. Can you briefly describe what parts you accept as literal and what parts are just metaphors or just figures of speech? How about the virgin birth & the resurrection? Do you consider them to be literal as opposed to just metaphors and why?

When did I say I don't take the Bible as literal?
Here's what parts of the Bible I don't take literally: The parables. I also believe it's open to interpretation whether creation took 7 literal days or if that's just the best word that fit in the translation. I also do not know, nor care, exactly how old the earth is, and the Bible doesn't tell us.
