I've only seen neighbours vaguely in the past ten years. What happened to the triplets? I know they returned, but are they still alive and kicking?

That's a terribly one-eyed view of it, though. Gail (utterly ridiculously) blamed Paul for her father's fatal accident. Paul didn't leave the funeral out of callousness or obsession with business, he left because she was acting like she didn't want him there in the first place and he didn't know what to do. It really bugged me when the modern writers used that as a snub against him; the situation was far more complicated and messed up than that.,

I have to agree with Knightscomi, Paul neglect of Gail made her walk out on him...but the writers really screwed up the P & G Story as there was no way Paul would ever have done that to her or that she would have walked out on her marriage like that. There was only really ever one ending that should have happened. I also agree that she is the love of Paul's life and he's the love of her life, the Paul who is in neighbours now bears no resemblance to the character of Paul back in the 80's.

He sorta neglected her, went back to the office on the day of her father's funeral, so she walked out on him when she was 7 months pregnant. Can hardly blame her! There used to be some clips of when she walked out but they dont seem to be around any more...
