It is DEFINITELY better to just use the external hard drive once a month. Doing it yourself is better on your wallet. Not having programs running in the background is also better for your pc/laptop/notebook's speed.

White Nerd Problem: you say a simple word like "processor" and nobody has any idea what you're talking about. Then you're either stuck with awkward silence, or attempting to explain it in which case nobody cares anyway.
