This is quite possibly the greatest trailer ever made. It tells you literally nothing about the film, yet it leaves quite an impression. The flashing images and the repeated sounds and music, pure gold. Trailers nowadays give away way too much about a movie.

This movie is wonderfull and the only one, I can see again and again. Each sequence is original and all movies and TV series have been using it after that.

I love this movie. It's maybe just bettered in the genre by Star Wars, but it's certainly amazing. Aliens was also either just as good if not just slightely better. There's so much atmosphere with them, such great acting, and they make it seem so real. I really am on the edge of my seat waiting to see Scott bring back these great memories. The man is a genius when it comes to detail and visuals. Allhis films are just so great to look at and so well acted.

Yes Bladerunner is such a masterpiece in the cinematography some says it possible to like it from its beauty alone.

It was very influental for the looks of later sci fi films and games. When people believe "The fifth element" gave birth to the Sci-fi look I simply make a facepalm.

I love both Alien and Star Wars but I wouldn't put them in the same genre. Star Wars is more Space Opera whereas Alien is Science Fiction/Horror. But I agree with you 100% about Ridely Scott's directing.

True. Well in all fairness Alien changed in the sequel to having a bit more action. But I see what you mean. Both are part of two different genres. But I'd say there's more of a bigger Western Style in Star Wars than an Opera side. Still great movies both of them. Just a pity that as technology increased they got less cool. Those CGI shots of the Aliens (especially the one from Alien 3 although the real Alien shots looked better) just don't do as much for me. Same for the CGI in Star Wars
