Eating on the cheap in China.

Expats can easily eat for 100RMB per day or less if they know where to go. Many Asian countries are even cheaper for meals.

$1 = 6.35 yuan

One benefit of living abroad is taking advantage of cheap eats. Although quality may be lacking with some food choices, overall it pays to be frugal. In most Chinese cities there is no choice. Western foods are either not available or not worth the premium price.

The one food I miss the most over the past several years? Cheese. A variety of cheese is a real luxury in Asia. Wisconsin never seemed so good!
