@4k3el no dude, he has been our teacher in Delft university for an entire semester, and believe me.. no matter the language he speaks, he's always very carismatic and convincing!
i'm sure if he spoke in his own language he would be more confident in choosing the right words to properly elucidate what he's explaining. after all he is also a lecturer at many universities.
your very lucky to have him lecture you. i am doing a presentation for 30 minutes about MVRDV in front of my whole year.

I wouldn't exclude they first did the blue village, then downscaling to the foam model!
Winy sounds shy in the interview.. sure it's a communication strategy.
