What a bunch of subjective, B.S. journalism. Completely biased and without a shred of understanding about the military . First of all, Gen. Petraeus can never have political influence. His job is to win the war that then President Bush ordered him, not set policies that then Senator Obama suggested at that hearing. "Obama shocked Gen. Petraeus." Huh? It was understood President Obama's position in the campaign. And no one in uniform will ever think that they're beyond the Commander's control.

I can see in the General's eyes that he's a guy who likes to get the job done. He doesn't like to walk away from his duty of protecting us all. His loyalty runs deep, all the way to his heart.

One thing that dude knows is war chess. He wants to call checkmate on those terrorists, to cripple their violence.

Hopefully, Obama remembers to listen to the General as well as his campaign team.

@KOKID83 The UCMJ prohibits willful disobedience to lawful orders. To answer your hypothetical situation, committing murder upon the American public is unlawful. It would have to be determined that the public posed an actual, physical threat (defense) which law enforcement or the FBI always handles, not the military.

It used to produce 85% of the world's production and is now reduced to 20% with the world's biggest maintenance costs.

USA is screwed so long as we keep the Federal reserve system and alliance with Israel.
