...As for issuing apologies for past wrongdoings, yes it may help some ppl move forward, but really I think time is better served focussing on wrongdoings that are happening now. Doesn't look like too many countries with so called british wrongdoings are fairing too badly these days and I say that not even being British.

I just think it is hypocritical of the British to criticize anyone since they caused so much misery and oppression in the world for so many years. They need to issue a formal apologies to so many countries.

Beijing Olympics is the most beautiful game! These demonstrators are those of British white racists, clowns from some anti-China organizations, Dalai Lama's overseas Tibetan followers who are either children of former Tibetan slave owners or who were born in the west and who have never seen a real Tibet. A lot of anti-China demonstrators are professional demonstrators and they get paid by anti-China organizations in a few west nations. Staging anti-China activities is their only job.
