Well if what you are saying is correct, perhaps you should remove the "Sensei" from in front of your name. I have a feeling this is perhaps a title you gave to yourself.

To be honest you don't deserve your black belt from watching this performance. You need to go back to the basics.

Way too many "karateka" getting off seeing themselves wearing a Gi on youtube. What are people going to learn from someone doing bad katas?check out someone doing a kata properly and learn.....
-
Nah that's alright mate, I'm sorry for being so critical; certainly, if you are just learning the kata, this is acceptable- keep training hard! Should be good!

I hope that I and others can learn from the video. If I had waited until I could do it perfectly then it would never be shown.
This video is 2 years old at this point and I believe my kata has improved since that time. Maybe I'll record again and post to see the differences.
If you have constructive comments then I welcome them. If you are just here to berate me then I would appreciate it if you would simply go away.
This is horrible and not at all what is even at 2s green belt. The basic punch is not correct, shoulders are off, you throw your arm backwards before looking first! (you learn or are supposed to be taught why you never do this the early years...major risk of having elbow broken) and I'll just stop it makes me sad to see this esp to a rare style. Maybe this is the guy from 3rd Rock from the Sun that dated Sally doing a dance edition?

@inkedWmetal Thanks for the feedback. As I mentioned in the description it wasn't the best version of the kata. I was still just beginning to learn it when I posted it.
I'm sorry that I don't live up to your expectations. I know that I am not perfect but I continue to strive to be better.

Iguanasan....where are your hips?where is the butt during all of your katas?Think of your tail bone reaching to the ground in front of your feet. This will help connect the lower and upper body.Move forward on your strikes(intent).I don't feel them.Turn slightly when striking to the sides to keep your body connected and avoid over extension.Get lower in your stances, stretch them out.Always go back to center before moving.Keep at it.

I somehow missed this comment, sorry. I suspect I was focusing more on trying to remember the kata at the time since it was still relatively new to me. I continue to work on my kata to improve them and believe I am making progress.
