These are my pet gerbils that I'm obsessed with and since I haven't uploaded any videos on here, I figure I should... that noise in the background is my husband, Doug, playing Team Fortress 2... In fact, just mute it cuz there's no relevant noise...

Both gerbils are female, the black one is named Kiki and she is a lot more aggressive and curious than the tan one, who is named Luna... After I clean their cage and set it up all nice, Kiki will just shove things around until she gets it how she likes it... and they never use their wheel!

  • They are beautiful gerbils. I don't know if anyone has mentioned this to you already, but a metal wheel can be dangerous for gerbils. They can easily get their tails caught in it. Hope you don't mind me saying that. I would hate for your gerbils to get hurt.

  • @bagpussarah Actually the gerbils in this video have since died of natural causes. I bought a wheel specifically made with the safety of gerbils in mind, however, and so far none of my gerbils have been harmed by it. In fact, my new gerbils rarely use it for its intended running purposes.

  • Are they noisey at night? I was just thinking for if i got 1 for my bedroom?

  • Ahh, well, they are only noisy if you keep noisy things in their cage. For example, they like to dig and burrow a lot, so they'll shove stuff around and if they have a plastic house sometimes it will bang up against the glass aquarium, which can produce a very annoying noise. However, if you don't keep anything noisy in the cage, then they make virtually no noise...

  • Lol. I looked up team forrtress 2 and i found this! XD oh, and cute gerbils!

  • Haha yeah, maybe I should take that out of the description >.>

  • @bagpussarah Your information is wrong, sorry this is a very late reply, but I can't help correcting you. Yes, a metal wheel is not safe for gerbils, unless it is a mesh wheel. Like the one above is. The gerbils can't get their feet or tails caught in it, because the mesh squares are too small. The dangerous wheels are when they are straight across. The mesh wheel is one of the safest wheels you can get for them, as it isn't plastic, and their limbs can't get caught.

  • Lol, I read this comment right as he was saying it.

  • "there is a heavy, a medic, and someone else on the bottom level" lololol
