  • What are you lot on about! Mary Wilson is a lovely woman - I went to one of her concerts recently at Buxton, Derbyshire and she was brilliant and had the pleasure of talking to her afterwards - she was brilliant - don't understand what the issue is all about here - to much hate and not enough love!

  • One of their best! Song drives it out of the ball park -- I can't break away!

  • @TheRmjr thank you...one day i will make it there. enjoy your day.

  • @wonderboyjoy You will enjoy it! It was very interesting to hear all of the history. I already knew quite a bit but it was still fun. Also make sure to check out the gift shop.

  • @TheReturnOfBigBear that's a shame to hear. still like to see it one day though.

  • @wonderboyjoy Been there, it's not the same anymore, Esther Edwards (Berry Gordy's Sister) used to be there all the time, before she passed away, she was So nice & Very Candid, you could ask her Anything, she was always Gracious & approachable

  • @TheRmjr my dream is to go there one day.

  • Shirley Bassey would Slap You Face!

  • Mary Wilson looks like Shirley Bassey!

  • JUST MISSED!!! "Nothing But Heartaches" just missed making the Billboard's Top 10 chart; it peaked at No. 11 and spent a total of 9 weeks in the Hot Top 100 in 1965... This record broke the string of five straight Number One records by The Supremes {Where Did Our Love Go, Baby Love, Come See About Me, Stop! In The Name of Love, & Back In My Arms Again. And the record that followed "Nothing But Heartaches" would also reached No. 1 {I Hear A Symphony}...

  • @TheRmjr The concert was fantastic. We weren't really that close, we were on the second level in section 6, but she was awesome. It amazes me that artists like Diana, Aretha, Patti, and Gladys can still do their thing in their late 60's. They are showing no signs of slowing down either.

I hope that one day I can visit the Motown Museum. I would love to stand in the Snake Pit just to be in the same room where some of the greatest hits the world has ever seen was produced.

  • @terrybigteekemp I did see some of this when Florence was featured on "Unsung". I will be on the lookout for her biography. Sounds like it will be a good book to read. On a recent trip to Detroit, I visited the Motown Museum which used to be where all the recording was done. It was awesome.
