  • I'm a huge fan of Gerry and the Pacemakers - I just heard about their new original DVD series. Check it out at :youtube(dot)com/profile?user=britishinvasiondvds#g/u

  • I like some of the stuff that GATP do but this song isn't one. It requires a rawness that Gerry doesn't have. Now Lennon, he could sing the heck out of this song!

  • not bad...but beatles version is muuuuuuuch better!, more powerfull

  • Great version !

  • There are live versions of this on compilations by these guys with loads of "balls"

  • The Beatles would've kicked these guys in their asses. This is a perfect example of why they were so much more popular than everyone else - they did this same song, and with 1000 times more balls.

  • G&TP's pianist was Leslie Maguire, who was born on 12/27/41, This British group, had 11 hits in the U.S. between 1964 and 1966, from "How Do You Do It" and "Ferry Cross the Mersey" to "Don't Let The Sun Catch You Crying." Gerry Marsden,. who is still active today, was their highly distinctive and warm-hearted lead singer.
