Someone please educate me..... What's the point of the sweatband around the brake fluid reservoir?

hi dude, it's me again! i wonder..how did you install the slip-on only? i went to Devil's website and

a) they don't have the CBR 600 RR 2007 model on the site

b) they seem to sell complete systems only for 900+ euro(1200 dollars)

@liteitupbri Actually racers used to do it to prevent brake fluid from spilling out and eating away at their paint and everything else it got on but its pretty much a non issue these days with modern brake fluids which are much less corrosive. People still do it just because. It doesnt serve a real function anymore.
