Now keep in mind, I'm definitely not the greatest speed runner in the world (that's why I need the skills to make myself look halfway decent)

I'm curious, how does drifting help you speed up? Also, how do you manage to reach the first checkpoint within 14 seconds? I tried drifting like you did, but I always hit the checkpoint at 19 seconds

@tingtongbundy I'm not sure, it's some weird collision glitch or something.

As for time, I was using skills for this run, if you hit it at 19 then you probably aren't using any skills.

You could off shaved at least a second off of your time if it wasn't for some few very minor mistakes near the end.

@earthshaker1213 Yeah, but because I was using skills, I wasn't concerned with being the best I could be.

Besides, some things are incredibly difficult with skills.

May upload a real speed run without skills later once I'm not so overwhelmed with all of the game releases this year.

I managed to get the boost timings right, and just posted a time of 1.40.83, wonderful

@zoondogod I tried timing my boosts whenever I got near a booster, I discovered that it works on rail boosters as well as 'treadmill' boosters. I've managed to shave off vital seconds. My best time at Green Hill is now 1.43.0 and my best at Rooftop Run is 2.05.2

As it turns out, if you boost just as you hit the booster at about 0:16 you gain a lot of momentum, it works in quite a lot of other places too.

@HypotheDragon I'm using the same 4 skills that you are, Blast Off, Acceleration, Speed Up and Boost Gauge Up. I tried drifting as well, I managed to improve my time by 2 seconds, I'm at 1.44 now

@cyb3rk1d I'm aware of pretty much every shortcut in GHZ, and this really isn't meant to be a perfect speed run because I was using skills :/

@HypotheDragon If you boost hop at the peak of the hill after the first loop and perfect the drift at the end, you'll go much faster. I'm at 1:39.95 but I'm sure you can beat it. My drift skills need work compared to yours.
