Forrest Gump Theme - Alan Silvestri

From the film Forrest Gump, which by the way should be seen ;)

I've tried to make it sound like the real version, so I didn't play exactly after the sheet music all the way through... hope you like it though!

The picture and music may not be completely co-ordinated, but in my opinion that's not such a big deal.

The tempo is a little higher than in the original, very surprising, as I'm the one who's playing :), hopefully the beautiful song still sounds alright.

Of course you're correct that listening is the vital element. But please don't sell your talent short. It's not just the music you make, but also HOW you make it! I've never known a concert-goer who didn't spend most of their time with eyes riveted to the hands as they performed their magic. You rightly included your hands in the shot, because you seem to grasp the importance of involving as many of the 5 senses as possible. By doing so, you are elevating your performance to another level! :)

VERY nice, and you didn't even have the benefit of a 50 piece orchestra backing you up! Again, VERY nice. Brought tears to my eyes, and I'm not a young man or one prone to tears.

If I would have changed anything at all, it would have been a less distracting background, and not turning off the camera quite so quickly. It's nice to hear the final note fade away rather than be so abruptly cut off.

Stick with it young lady! You've got long fingers and talent -- a combo for piano success.

Ah okay, that could be an idea. Though I think the video itself isn't that important when the point of it is listening to the music... But I understand why the background is distracting. And I do agree with the "cut off" ending, it definitely could have sounded better. Thanks!
