Halloween 2009

My mom always made holidays special. My Halloweens are full of so many memories. I hope to pass this along to my children, and one day, their children.

Erin opens with a message to Mom with a thanks for the cards and the little paintable creatures. You are so good about remembering the holidays and they look forward to your little trinkets.

What you should know as you watch the trick or treating.....

Joining Erin was her brother and the neighbor boys, The Mortons. The boys of course were on a course of running house to house. Erin was of course the social butterfly (aka the Ghost of Hannah Montana who lost her wig and sheet by the end of the night--when they asked what she was, she said, 'Me').

At one point she gave up trying to keep up with the boys then complained she wouldn't get as much candy.

I told her if she killed 'em with kindness she would probably double her treats.

Beyond that it was hysterical. The next house she said, "What a fabulous job you have done with the decorating!" Funny because they didn't have the first jack-o-lantern.

Result - three Kit Kats.

Next house, 'Wow this was so scary I was almost afraid to come to the door'.

Result - 'Take as much as you want, honey'.

Next house, 'Ohhhhh! Reese cups. They are my mom's favorite.'

Result - 4 Reese Cups.

End result - she kicked their buns.
