Jascha Heifetz plays both parts in this recording of J. S. Bach's Concerto for 2 Violins, Strings and Continuo in D Minor (BWV 1043), also known as the Double Violin Concerto.

I prefer this to his later recording with Erick Friedman - I guess only Heifetz can play with Heifetz with great balance.

I. Vivace
II. Largo ma non tanto
III. Allegro

  • Guys, I'm not sure if you are kidding or not about the double violin thing but if your happen to not be, let me enlighten you. He recorded himself playing the first part and then played the second part over it.

  • Absolutely perfect for those that cannot get enough of Heifetz.. He sort of clones himself in this strange- however great sounding effort.

Is it bravo to cloning,or simply Bravo -period.
