@HannibalBEATNGU There is no scientific evidence that homosexuality leads to a greater chance of contracting a disease, stop spreading misinformation. The problem with theism is that it causes you to discard logic and reason, hence eliminating the inherent morality that is hindered by "god's" will. Your assumption that you need god to tell you what's right and wrong is childish and primitive.
@PastorKirk Whatever reason you chose to start believing is irrelevant. God still doesn't exist just because you say so, however if self-delusion is working for you then hey who am i to judge...just keep it out of the education system, government and the general progression of the human race. I cannot believe that governments globally allow religious schools to exist that should be the first ban implemented, in it's place ETHICS 1.01 ... Then just maybe the world might become a better place
@HannibalBEATNGU That's not an objective reason homosexuality is wrong; it's an objective reason that it is more dangerous than heterosexual intercourse. There are condoms for a reason. Morality does not need to be determined by an old, contradictory book. It is determined by common sense.
@flamerggame12 There are objective reasons homosexuality is wrong, such as the clear fact that it gives you a much greater chance of contracting disease (which is a scientificially proven fact that any licensed physician can tell you), the problem with atheism is it causes you to discard God, hence eliminating the objective determination of right and wrong so you can make up your own rules as you go along. By that logic, noone is any more right or wrong than anyone else, and government is god.
But you did more inviting to a conversation if you would like to really discuss this please respond without insults (referring to holiness). I always did not like when people use that even when they mean it complement. If you meant it as a joke as one friend of mind uses it as, then LOL. Please let me know where you want to start.
A prof told me, never stop looking for truth. Since then I’ve used critical thinking. Many rarely do that nor want to discuss theism/atheism for they think it's an open-shut case. But then there wouldn’t be any questions on any side. Most atheist write me off with cursing/insults instead of disguising it. When I was an atheist I dislike that type of thought & only a few atheist friends agreed with me. Why? I’ve received answers but one I’ve found to be true, they don’t want to do it.
@Coatton Why don’t you believe that I was an atheist? You might answer because I wouldn’t have become a theist if I really knew the facts or was truly an atheist. Are you saying people can’t really change in their beliefs? What about someone who was a democrat and them became republican, or independent? That can’t happen? If people can’t change then are you saying alcoholics have no hope of changing their lives & should continue to drink? I disagree.
