@kneb2001 - was referring to the Craftsman that you used to put the cap back on. I also need to know how to get the CCA membership. I called the local dealership and it was $192 for the oil change and $79 for the filter and oil from the parts department. How do I message you? The oil at autozone for the Castrol 5W-30 full syntheitic was less than $30 and the filter is $12 at the dealrship. I wouls also like to say that your video is the best one on the web for this oil change.

What type of wrench did you use to tighten the oil filter cap? What type of oil change kit did you buy and where can I get one?

Thank you for this great vid, personally I own a BMW e92 with 2.5l otto engine and I used the same branded oil lately. After changing the oil with fresh honey like new synthetic oil, my BMW is happy again :D
What type of wrench did you use to tighten the oil filter cap? What type of oil change kit did you buy and where can I get one? I am going to try to do this like you did. I am a newbie to this but it does not seem that hard.

@utellmel The filter cap requires a 36mm socket. I attached mine to a 1/2" breaker bar coming off. The filter and 5W-30 full synthetic oil come directly from my local BMW centre. I have a BMW CCA membership so the price works out to be less than other full synthetics at superstores or auto part stores. It is not hard at all, is the best way to learn about your car, and will keep the engine going forever. Please comment or message me directly if you need more help or have any questions.
