Thanks for the post. Pat could certainly rock the house back in those days. However, the band became much better with the additions of Tommy Alldridge on drums and Pat Thrall on backup guitar. I highly recomend their live album Go For What You Know.

I would have exploded from within if I had seen this video in 1980 when I first discovered Pat.

This is like the 5th Pat Travers video I have seen here on youtube where the sound of the guitar in no way matches the paterns of his picking or finger positions. And the wah wah fluctuations occur magically with no foot pedal action.
I've got a really good recording of this on an old BBC CD.

Yeah, the PT BBC live CD is still available and features live material from 1977 and 1980. It would be great if the BBC Sights & Sounds TV show featuring Travers was officially released. They released the Nazareth show from 1977, so maybe the PT program will be available in the future....

Mars Cowling !!. . .all hail the best bass player I have ever seen live, gigs in the 80's with no noise limit when the bass shook your rib cage. . feel sorry for you young kids today, that will never be allowed again!!

Right on, friend! Mars was THE MAN, and I'm willing to bet he could still blow the lug nuts off most of today's bassists!
