  • Very good playing!!!! in this period i'm starting playing Scarlatti, I think he is great. A question. do you prefer Domenico or Antonio?

  • I have to say I prefer Domenico. Alessandro, Domenico's father, composed vocal music primarily. His keyboard music, typical of the previous generation, is worth studying, no doubt about it. But Spanish and Portuguese influences, combined with Domenico's Italian heritage (along with his innate genius and originality, of course), give his music its individuality and striking character. Let's face it: Domenico wrote great tunes!!

  • This is very beautiful. I have been wanting to buy a harpsichord, but they are a rarity at piano dealers. What is the general price range for them?

  • It's hard to say, because prices can vary from maker to maker and model to model---just like in the old days! Sometimes someone will want to unload an instrument quickly and you can get a great price. Few piano dealers offer them because they're mainly made by hand by individual builders. It's best to seek out builders in your area if possible or to go through a consignment shop.

  • Wow! Do you have any cd's available? That was a great performance.....made my day...one of my favorites

  • Yes. Thanks for asking!

  • Sometimes we find by accident channels in youtube which are a kind of oasis. And we have to spread to everyone, friends or acquaintances.

This is the case of this one.

  • Whoa! She is amazing! Very good! I really enjoyed this!

  • I really love how you bring out the bass. Truly wonderful playing.

  • This has to be my favorite piece of music written for harpsichord. I think that the left hand octaves have an awesome effect. Played amazingly by the way!

  • You're fantastic

  • Semplicemente fantastica! Non pensavo che gli italiani sapessero scrivere più di 200 anni fa una musica così moderna e che una grande clavicembalista rendesse questa musica ancora più soave. Grazie.

  • Go Scarlatti!

  • I adore this. No other words.

  • I am wondering whether or not you are playing on a german made harpsichord. The German harpsichords seem to have more dynamics and depth when compared to the crisp (and faster return) of the French and the more delicate sound of the Italian instruments.

  • Dear Elaine, your skills at the harpsichord are outstanding! And I indeed love the way you interpet Scarlatti. Maybe does your genius come from your italian roots? ))))

  • @scottturner1994 i recommend digital harpsichord myself.

that way you got a digital piano among other things too :D
