The ever talented Andy Cooperman brought his popular 'Imaginative Captures (Zengineering)' workshop to Whaley Studios in San Diego, California, April 16-18th. This is a brief segment capturing the creative stimulation of ideas and designs. Workshop topics include: cold connecting, caging, back setting and certain advanced soldering techniques. Whaley Studios is an emerging private studio for metalsmiths and jewelers of all skill levels including novices with a calling towards the metal arts and related crafts. Whaley Studios is operated by master jeweler and metalsmith Jay Whaley, Jay previously served head jewelry instructor at the University of California, San Diego Crafts Center for 24 years, prior to focusing on this private studio in the trendy Hillcrest district.
