Bioware have begun releasing trailers up to the January launch of Mass Effect 2, for each of the squad characters that Shepard will be able to enlist, first up is the follow video entitled 'Assassin' and introduces Thane to players.

Thane is a drell assassin, rumored to be the most skilled in the galaxy. Unlike most assassins, who prefer to snipe their targets from a distance, Thane likes to get up close and kill his target personally. Despite this approach, he is cool and calculated in his work. Although highly skilled, Thane experiences strong feelings of guilt about his profession and prays for himself after each kill. Firmly believing this act of penance should never be forsaken, Thane will even go as far as to ignore those in his immediate vicinity until he is finished doing so.
He is first confronted by Shepard on Illium, where Thane is on a mission to assassinate Nassana Dantius.

  • it should be "sometimes i feel regret, others i feel recoil."

  • @delta5297

They didn't even have time to click the dislike button, as they died their hand fell on the mouse while it was over the dislike button.

  • 1 person mistook Thane for a common soldier.

  • It really sucks that Thane has such a cool personality and backstory, because I don't really like his abilities and always end up using Miranda and Samara instead. But I bring him along on the easy quests so we can stand around and look like badasses (with a stripper companion named Miranda).

  • "Sunset eyes defiant in the scope."

  • "Don't mistake me for a common soldier."

Funny, that's pretty much what HK-47 said too....but you end up using both these guys as commandos instead of assassins.

  • @Wolffman212 Lol got a response didn't I? Well because it was only relevant to me for that day, so regardless of the time it was posted i was interested to respond.

I'd agree that it's similar, I do like he kind of views his body as a vessel that other people can use as tools, it seems like his own little anesthetic for what he does. Anyway he's not too distant but he's not warm he doesn't seem typical to me, maybe i can't it across but it's a nice combination of characteristics that make him..

  • @sasuke19000 Dude, why would reply to a comment I left 4 months ago? And yea he is the typical regretful assassin, because they all say pretty much the same thing.

  • @Wolffman212 Yeeeeah but, he's not the type to cry about it and get all emotional, he was just saying that everyonce and a while he doesn't like to kill the innocent. He does what is necessary and has good morals, he's a well rounded character he's not just saying that to make you feel like "Oh he's not such a bad guy." And then your like oh typical regretful assasin, because I'm sure he'd do it again. But he would probably raise his son instead of take revenge. See there!

  • So what other fangirls instantly drooled, and dropped Kaiden for Thane? lol
