Hi dvarengang,
I've tyed a few Streaking caddis over the years, I will tye one but maybe later on as I have a list of flies I will be adding through the winter, just keep me in mind and I will tye this fly...Our Brown trout season is finished now but we can fish for Grayling and Salmon to the end of this month..
I'm glad you like the videos..

Another cracking wee pattern Davie.
You've mentioned on a few vids that you've dyed your own materials, is there any chance of knocking up a video just to give your public the basic do's and dont's of dying materials.
you are the master,
Jim.
Hi Davie.
Can i ask you why you use the base of the tail for the wing,is it purely for the colour or is it for the ease of tying as i'm struggling to get the amount of wing to stay in as im using the longer hair and seems a pain to tie in.I have just fished in ireland for 10 days and had lots of fish to this fly so you can see why i want get it right.thankyou for this pattern i just wish i could tie them half as good as you.

Hi scolemans,
The shorter hair at the base of the tail has a nice colour mix which suits this size of fly but you could use the hair futher up and where the colour suits the fly that your hoping will do..
It sounds though that you had a great dressing with the fish that you caught, so I would stick to your fly, and well done to you...

Hi Davie
Many thanks for the reply. I did however forget to say that the main point of contacting you was of the fact that when i was catching with this pattern the wing kept coming away from the hook and was wondering if it was the the hair i was tying in or was it just to much wing in the first place.
best regards s.c

Hi scolemans,
Putting too much hair on would cause it to fall out which is one of the main causes. I would wax my thread or even put a tiny drop of varnish or superglue in at the roots of the cut ends as this will give you the grip and hopefully keep the wing on for you..I hope this is of some help to you...ATB Davie
