  • @fearfulAC130 not stupid. it is, in fact, both - i think they took images captured by the satellite and then interpolated them into a smooth motion.

  • @smokebomb213 Not necessarily, but they would definitely show up better if they were under clouds. I saw a few sparks that weren't in clouds, but they're harder to see. Overcast skies tend to transport light more effectively. For an example, shine a flashlight into the darkness, and then put a piece of white cardboard, or maybe even a white pillowcase in front of it to see the difference.
