  • hey im consdering in starting to start traing in a mrtial arts form can u tell me about BJJ

  • @crimsin03 The theory is very basic: Take the fight to the ground. Dominate the position where you can effectively attack, and not be attacked, and end the fight with a submission i.e. choke, armlock, or leglock.

It's fun, it is 1 of the most practical arts out there. It's relatively safe. Try it!

  • Thanks to James for posting a video on youtube that actually shows me winning a match. He is definitley one of the classiest guys I know in jiu-jitsu and a great competitor. It could have easily been me getting choked out.

  • it's very very cool to see some humility here. You really show a lot of character and self confidence by sharing this vid. Mad props to you!

  • I got caught in a reverse bent armbar while in sidecontrol once. It was pretty embarassing for me reguardless if the guy was a purple belt or not that did it I was embarassed. It takes alot of class to actually put a video of yourself getting submitted in and advantagous position. Oss!

  • @judopathoftruth Check your history, JiuJitsu is the predecessor to Judo. Judo is the sport version of the fighting style known as JiuJitsu.

Jigaro Kano was a JiuJitsu practitioner of JiuJitsu before he developed the toned down version know today as Judo.

I've competed against many black belts in Judo and have easily defeated them all. Granted they were better at throws, but were easily submitted.

  • @tapskilz

You never wanna take a fight to the ground lol. BJJ is just incase it ends up down there. It isn't very safe eaither

  • @crimsin03 Honest bit of advice,if you aren't using it for competition, just for street usage, learn to fight standing up for GOD sakes,if you try any of this in the middle of a club, all the dudes friends will lay the boots to you and jump on your head,if it's for tournament use though, theres a reason most MMA fighters have a base in JJ or BJJ,hope that helps :)

  • @tapskilz Telling someone its safe when your showing a video of YOURSELF laying face down unconscious isn't the smartest thing to do/say.

  • @tapskilz Works great for a single attacker...but when you get 2 or more, you're screwed...you get on the ground in a street brawl, you're dead...but it's a good cardio workout...great for that.

  • damn he got choke the hell out lol,

  • just a little tip when ur in someones gaurd and there reaching for the baseball bat choke do not try to pass because that sets up the choke juss try to break down the arms

  • Its so cute to see BJJ guys use Judo techniques and claim it for themselves.

    Fools

  • @AidanXD10 In a baseball choke you use a grip reversed from what you would normally. This isn't useful UNTIL your opponent passes your guard on the proper side at which point you have leverage that you wouldn't otherwise have and can choke him.
