It's just so effortless and natural. They're not trying to be cool or hip. This is from the time when music was built on song craftmanship and not driven by record company profit margins. Hence its longevity. And the reason i'd rather listen to this on my ipod than anything that's on the radio today.

Everyone has rose tinted spectacles when remembering the Eighties, there were lots of brilliant songs and bands, many of which were under rated. A lot of the music at the Top of the charts in the 80's was garbage. Bands like China Crisis, Big Country, Fiction Factory, Talk Talk, Talking Heads and the Waterboy's etc never got into the top 20 in general, immature bubble gum pop was usualy at the top of the pops in the Eighties. Don Henley Boys Of Summer is my favourite 80's track.
