http://www.easybassvids.com The minor scale is your ticket to playing some the fiercest riff jams there are. Not only that, it will
enhance your abilities and understanding in any style of music. Once you get the note patterns down,
it doesn't take long to develop your speed and power. It just takes some practice with a drumbeat or
metronome click. Once you know the Major and minor scales, you can start to completely map out
the entire fretboard. Play through the exercises to gain total dominance over the minor scale note
patterns. These are note sequence exercises so you get to know the patterns every which way. It
really builds up your dexterity, muscle memory, and the muscles themselves.

  • O man, practicing with a metronome or a drumbeat is EVERYTHING! First and foremost a bass player has to keep real solid time. everyone is counting on you for that. If you don't practice things "in time" to a click or a beat, you're wasting your efforts. think of the metronome as your bandmate that never makes a mistake. After a while, your sense of time will become so strong, that you'll be able to tell when other players start to drag or speed up.

  • @zigmaister I guess he either programs his own or plays some loop, as you see he is in a home studio so getting a drum loop to play isnt really an issue... you could download FLstudio for free and get a loop playing in no time (also set your own tempo)

  • i have the same yamaha hs50m monitors man!!!

  • QUESTION: Johnny, why did you pick the "A minor" scale? Can I just pick any random spot on the fretboard and use the same fingering/placement and have it result in a minor scale? (albeit a different key)?

  • Where do you get drum beats like this? Thank you

  • @jbelcher74 Ok thanks I'm going to keep at it
