ffDiaporama is an Opensource application for Linux or Windows which was inspired by presentation programs such as Powerpoint or Impress. Powerful features such as these quoted from the site
"It includes 140 transitions and a device database to enable the videos to be correctly rendered for more than 50 models of video viewing devices (including smartphones, tablets, and home cinema systems). ffDiaporama can manage several hundred slides. Each slide can contain tens of shots and tens of blocks, with each shot containing its own block settings. The application itself calculates all the shot transformations."
The instructions with ffDiaporama are complemented very well by this useful video. It helps to see this and then start using ffDiaporama. Many thanks. Very relaxed tone to the whole video.

Man, ever have one of those days? I'm running Vector Linux, and I can't get ffDiaporama to open, and now I can even get this youtube video to play. Everyother video is playing, but this one just buffers endlewssly.

@omgitsmikegravel Which version of ffdiaporama did you install. There are three in the repository. Try starting ffdiaporama in the terminal, let me know what error message you get. I just tested here on my VL, tested ok. Like to help you out, but will need the info above. PS. did you install vl with the install disk or live installer.

A great little tutorial for a piece of software that gives you a lot more editing options than Photostory. Interesting, clear and very helpful. You have a nice voice that works well on this. Thanks.
Q.
What software did you use to video capture the whole thing if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks again. :)

@wookiethx I recorded the desktop with qt-recordmydesktop. Edited and put the video made by ffdiaporama in the corner with openshot.
