i like the leveling idea with the shims, however, about a week ago i made the 5 board bench from an earlier video and it was rocking....I spent a good amount of time doing the musical sanding the legs dance till i figured out all the legs where perfect from the get go and didn't need to be sanded at all, the old 1x12 pine board i used for the seat of the bench had a slight twist. My solution was to just sit on the bench, took the twist right out and all 4 feet sit flat!

I've seen David Marks do this before but the blue tape idea is an added bonus. THANKS!

Hey that was good practical solution I need to use on a couple chairs in my own dining room. Thank you for taking the time to put these kinds of demonstration up. Keep them coming please.
Cheers.
The sandpaper idea was pretty neat. Although I think it's important for people to remember that the chair or stool is only going to sit as level as the surface it's on. So if your kitchen or dining room floor is a little warped, the chair may still rock and there isn't a whole lot you can do about it.
