***Spoiler***

Possibly the most emotional scene from a game ever.

EDIT After.. a year or so:

With the summer coming up, I'll have a lot more time on my hands. My first priority is to replay Lost Odyssey and recapture this footage, as its kind of.. bad quality.

  • Making me cry is practically impossible, but when I hit this part of the game, oh my God, I just started bawling. This game kicks immesurable ass!

  • No matter what anyone says, I've seen this scene almost a dozen times.. and each time, I cannot hold back the tears..

One of the most emotional scenes from a game, You'll ever encounter. Once you learn about Kaim's past.. and witness the bonds he had with the daughter he couldn't remember, topping it off with the reunion of the two.. just makes this game, The BEST of all time.

  • You dont have a soul if u didnt cry at this part. Its so emotional, almost compared to mgs3 last scene in emotions.

  • Just playing this game right now , and just had the cutscene. Yep... did make me cry, having kids probably made me more emotional about it compared if I had played the game before having them. I'd probably been sad but not cried. I could not retain my tears. First time ever a game does that to me. And I have played many...I'm 36

  • @pdraggy

Just in case you weren't joking...they're immortal because they were born in another world. Time runs differently there. Their child, however, was born in this world which makes her age and die normally. Makes perfect sense when you think about it in terms of a fictional work.

  • so the child of two immortals is... mortal THAT makes sense, almost as much as Aeris being immune to Pheonix Downs.

  • I didn't cry. But damn, I'd be a liar if I said this didn't tug at my heart and made me stop playing for a while

  • I think what really got me in this part was Cooke and Mack. With Cooke calling and calling for Lirum to stay conscious and then Mack's super scream after that was just...so sad and filled with such pain.

This is one of the best scenes in the game.

  • can we get the Last Story

  • I did see the cutscene here, and then I got the game and saw it again on the big screen. Jeepers, I am normally not an emotional guy, but this scene had ME shed a tear or two. By far one of the saddest scenes in any video game to date (aside from Dom's death in Gears 3, that one was also moving) it was so well done, it was amazing. Without a doubt this game captured human emotional drama right on the frigging money.

  • @Keshin007 Very true indeed...

  • Can't... stop... crying...

This is where the heart and soul of Final Fantasy's former creators went. This game is such a masterpiece.
