This is a movie of the Relativistic Cylindrical Blast Wave problem from Beckwith (2011). In this simulation the magnetic field is aligned at 45 degrees with respect to the x-axis and has a strength of B=0.1 while the ambient pressure is 5x10^-4. The maximum Lorentz factor reached in this blast wave is about 4. One can see the distortion of the normally circular blast wave by the magnetic field. This was run at 512x512 out to t=4 with a CFL=0.1 and eps=0.15. This was done using the relativistic MHD mode of WOMBAT by Paul Edmon at the University of Manitoba.
