This is a short time lapse piece by Dome3D LLC entitled "Second City." It was created for the domed film festival, DomeFest 2008, which was held in Chicago. It won the Harmony Channel Award for best fulldome mood-elevating visual music! All the images were shot on a Nikon D40x and a Sunex 185 degree fisheye lens. The music is entitled "Time Lapse" and was composed by Colin Willsher.
Awesome! I feel privileged that you responded to my goofy video with this... Great work!

Yeah the D40x is still a great camera, but it is all about the lens. I'd love to shoot with one of the higher end Nikons like the D300 or D3.

Just got back from DomeFest 2008, and "Second City" won the Harmony Channel award for best fulldome mood-elevating visual music award! My thanks goes out to the crew that put DomeFest together, David and Jon, to Ed Lance of the Harnomy Channel, and to the judges of DomeFest for choosing "Second City" to be a part of this years DomeFest. It makes me happy and proud to be able to share my home town with the rest of the domes around the world that will run DomeFest 08.
