You know, I'm fairly certain the moviemakers only said the COMBAT would be historically accurate.
And the "stereotypical barbarians" in this movie... aren't. They're Norwegians being forced to fight for the Catholic Church, which is threatening their people and sons. King John completely fucks them over several times, leaving them sympathetic villains at worst. I found them to be more victims than anything, and not just victims of the castle defenders. And Tiberius was (surprise!) a nice guy.

@ everyone its a brilliant movie. Get over it. It happened centuries ago so you cant say what is accurate and what isnt. How do u know that hollywood steriotypes were always wrong?

Oh yeah, there surely are some differences between Hollywood and "British Independent Filmmakers", the only problem is it looks EXACTLY like Hollywood bullshit! Same "barbarian stereotypes", same plot, they even copied K. Costners "Robin Hood" - instead of "Celts"with blue body paint they got "pagan Danes" with the very same blue greasy shit.
Whether British, or Mexican, or German, those stereotypes are still hollywood born bullshit. Which they DARE to proclaim "historically accurate".

@Protherium Hey man firstly why ya let anyone bother you like that I find it amazin let it just glide over head now the producer said he would as accurate as possible not a 100% accurate,don't read that much into things dude but this film is the closest ur ever gonna get to a castle siege so just enjoy it!
