Cool video!! That's me jumping off the cab and running up to shut the oiler on the cylinder. I'm a volunteer at the museum. i conduct and work in restoration. This past Steam days, I fired the 25, next year, i might get to run her. Keep up the good works!
You lucky dog! :) I'm a member of the museum. I go there for every steam day- even have some videos from the 1990s and from when she actually pulled cars. Only wish they hadn't changed the April one to Thomas the Tank Engine weekend. But I guess they have to bring the families in.
You are probably right, it's not likely. CSX isn't prone to letting anyone use their tracks... although perhaps for a very special occasion- maybe it would happen! I'd love to see it, too!
Yes it is! The museum was approached by the movie company and said that they would restore the engine if they could use it. It was sent to Strasburg, where it was totally redone (and repainted. It was originally robins egg blue with a red cab and tender). They had to leave it in its WANDERER garb for 2 years in case a sequel was made. It wasn't.

I'd love to see her at full speed with a train, but that not likely to ever happen again.
