@ohsheetson That isnt true. So many people think this. Kittens that are not handled untill 7-8weeks often get taken to shelters because they are to shy or hiss at people. You can and you should touch them briefly daily to help with socialization them. Hands should be clean and the kitten should not be taken out of mommys sight. If the mother trusts you it is no problem. you should be checking to make sure they feel healthy, full and not cold.

You can't adopt out newborn kittens; they still need their mother to feed and care for them. The only way you'll find tiny ones like that is if they don't have a mother and need to be hand raised, in which case it'll be round the clock care, and you'll still need to find homes for most of them once they're big enough. If you want a kitty you'd better love big kitties too, because they don't stay that small for very long, and although tiny kittens are very cute, it's a relief when they grow up.
