Return of The Jedi - Experimental Opening & Closing

A little different than my "Empire Strikes Back - Experimental Opening", this time we see how "Return of The Jedi" looks with opening credits. As an extra-super-mega bonus, I also experimented with the closing credits, AND the music heard during the Ewok celebration sequence.

I did the bulk of the work for this quite a while ago, but by the time I was done, it wasn't relevant any more...and I wasn't 100% happy with it anyway.
But now that I'm in an editing 'lull', I decided to revisit it, and make my definitive version. There's a bunch of little interesting bits & pieces that I've put in just for fun (including a patchwork of SE and GOUT footage).
The major sections include:
- Opening credits (DS arrival)
- Closing credits (Ewok Picnic)
- Redone main credit scroll
- Galactic celebrations during credits

"Directed by" is always the last of the credits when they are at the begining.

@DoctorXTV Doesn't the Sally Struthers as "Jabba the Hut" make it all worthwhile?

The credits give it a TV movie feel to it. Glad Lucas fought to not have it.

Actually the directed by is usually the first credit but its usually "A "---" film. Or

Well geez there's a reason Lucas always put the credits at the end. It just looks cleaner and its not as distracting as in other films. Sure he lost the support of the Director's Guild but the Star Wars saga is better for it.

Why did you want to experment with making ROTJ look like a crappy made for tv movie with those opening and closing credits. I mean your opening credits of ESB atleast were an attempt at keeping a cinematic feel to the opening, but this makes ESB look like a movie of the week

great, you made one of the best openings in film history to look like a cheap entrance to a tv series episode. I would say, bath yourself in a pool of Bantha poodoo
