Ever wondered what makes a Subaru engine so special? Well, theyre the only ones in the North American market with a boxer engine, so named because it looks like the pistons are boxing each other. Taken at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show.

@EceipSsehc Porsche had a boxer 6, but the Testarossa or 512 TR had a 180° V12. In a real boxer engine the pistons have their own crank pins, but in a 180° V the two oposing pistons share one pin. So in a boxer the oposing pistons move in the opposite direction, in a 180° they move in the same direction.

My host family in Sienna always said they would never buy an Alpha Romeo for as long as they live. Fiats are good. Lancias would have to do a lot to earn my trust back though.
