Christine Quinn blocks every animal protection bill

Christine Quinn has blocked not only the popular bill to ban horse-drawn carriages, but every other bill introduced at City Hall that would protect the city's animals. She even blocked the bill sponsored by 45 of the 50 council members that would require pet stores to have sprinklers, a bill introduced in response to the hundreds of dogs and cats that have burned to death in pet store fires in NYC. http://www.flickr.com/photos/59334723@N04/

Christine Quinn is a horrible person. What kind of person would be against each and every bit of legislation having to do with the humane treatment of animals? God forbid that she should ever become Mayor, and she's already started running. For eight years, she basically did nothing, all of a sudden you see her every where, "advocating" for the rights of New Yorkers. She's so full of shit. The only ones that she's helped in fact are her friends and contributers to her campaign fund.

Thanks, Donny, for putting this up. Why in the world ANYONE, let alone a politician, would vote against bills that would help animals is beyond me. Even if you hate animals, most of your constituents wouldn't react kindly to something like this. Hope she is voted out of office real soon! Good riddance!
